Apply for a Lincoln-Lane Scholarship

The Lincoln-Lane Foundation welcomes applications from any high school or college student who is a resident of the Tidewater area of Virginia and meets the following guidelines:

• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Financial Need
• Applying to, or currently attending, a 4-year college or university in the United States
•  US Citizen or Permanent Resident.  A copy of your Green Card may be required. 

If you are already enrolled in a 4-year institution and meet the qualifications above, you may submit the application for current college students. 

All applications are due November 15.  Take note of these important dates and deadlines. 

The following items will be required with your online application:

• Essay as detailed in the application
• Copy of parent(s)’ prior year 1040 federal tax return with any schedules filed and student’s prior year tax return, if applicable.
• The FAFSA Submission Summary with your SAI as soon as it is available.  (FAFSA opens for filing on October 1.)

You must also have your teachers and/or guidance counselor submit the following directly to us via email to admin@lincolnlane.org or in the regular US mail:

• Official transcript of with rank and SAT/ACT scores if applicable  
• 2 letters of recommendation from people who know you in an academic setting.
